First – if you played last season and have not received any emails updates on this winter from Josh in September, please double check your spam folder as abbasketball emails seem to be getting blocked for a number of people.

Our plan for this winter is as long as the state guidelines permit it, we will have some form of a season. The timeline will most likely be a December start to form teams with a hopeful January start for league games. We will at a minimum have team practices (and can always use practice time for scrimmages).

As of now, ABRSD has told us that they do not anticipate allowing any outside groups to use indoor school facilities until the COVID-19 situation is “resolved.” That means we will need to use a remote site for all practices and games. Right now, we’re looking at Millworks in Westford.

If CMYBL is able to get a season going, the plan there is for games to start in January and run right through March (including February break). With basically no towns able to get gym time for home games, that’s most likely going to mean a different schedule than you’re used to. There could be weeknight games even.

Please look for an update from us in early November. Questions in the meantime, feel free to reach out to board@abbasketball.com.
